The absence policy will be enforced. If you are going to be absent you must turn in an absence form (see handouts) Below is the absence policy as stated in the cheerleading constitution:
One person being absent affects the entire squad. It is important not to waste the practice time of the entire squad by being absence. Please avoid absences whenever possible. Excused absences include sickness, funeral, other BCHS activity, or limited family engagements. After school jobs, babysitting, transportation problems and excessive homework are not considered valid excuses for absences from games or practices. If you are going to be excused absent, you must hand in a an absence form before the practice to be missed.
Consequences for unexcused absences will be as follows:
1st absence- warning
2nd absence- sit out first quarter of game in full uniform next to me
3rd absence- sit out first half of game in full uniform next to me
4th absence- sit out full game in full uniform next to me
5th absence- removal from the team
